the challenge

Nate Berkus, an up-and-coming interior designer at the time, marked a departure from the typical fashion-focused design partnerships at Target. Our task was to help make Americans feel right at home with Nate Berkus — and his line of narrative-rich housewares.

the solution

As Nate knows best, nothing tells the story of a person better than their home. So we headed to his 4th-story Brooklyn apartment to film him as he introduced key pieces in his new collection, highlighting the inspiration for each from his own walls, travels and relationships.

Digital Videos

Filmed inside his Brooklyn apartment and within his favorite neighborhood locales, Nate walked us through his design philosophy and his inspiration for key pieces within his new collection for Target.

Target.com Owned Channels

To help build buzz ahead of the launch, we created a series of e-newsletter articles highlighting a different room in each. The inspiration for the online shopping experience borrowed from the visual vernacular of an editorial spread, featuring commentary from Nate throughout to help familiarize shoppers with this rising star.
